Dave Made a Maze

The Back Alley Film Series continues its hot streak of creepy-cool cinema this summer, following up last month’s carnivorous mermaid tale The Lure with this portrait of an artist trapped by his own devices. Dave retreats into a self-devised maze to escape everyday pressures. But his comforting blanket fort-on-steroids threatens to suffocate him. Is this a metaphor for those of us who spend too much time in our heads, or are we over-thinking this?
